Job summary

Sembcorp Architects & Engineers Pte Ltd is seeking a young engineer to understand internal design workflows and apply relevant codes. You will use TEDDS, PROKON, and in-house Excel tools for 2D calculations while developing knowledge of ETABS, Tekla, and IDEA StatiCa.

You will collaborate with architects and engineers through all project phases and support documentation and submissions. The role emphasizes feasibility studies, reporting to authorities, and delivering value-engineering options

Qualifications

• Background in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for feasibility assessments.
• Effective communication for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Attention to detail with ability to produce accurate design documentation.
• Good time management to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Singaporean candidates only due to project sensitivity.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Gain a strong understanding of SCAE's internal design workflows and procedures.
• Apply relevant codes of practice and regulatory requirements in day-to-day design tasks.
• Utilize structural design software such as TEDDS, PROKON, and in-house Excel tools for 2D calculations.
• Develop foundational knowledge of 3D FEM software platforms including ETABS, Tekla Structural Designer, and IDEA StatiCa.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary consultants throughout project phases.
• Prepare and deliver design presentations to communicate concepts, schematics, alternative solutions, and value-engineering options.
• Conduct research, feasibility studies, and prepare architectural or engineering reports for submission to authorities, clients, or internal stakeholders.
• Support construction documentation through drafting, preparing technical specifications, and assisting professionals with drawing endorsements.
• Participate in construction administration activities, including authority submissions, permitting processes, and design change coordination.
