Job summary

ING is offering the WB Asia Internship Programme for 2027 in Singapore. Interns will support the Portfolio Management team in evaluating credit risk, input client data, and prepare reports across the loan portfolio. You will gain hands-on experience in a front office environment with collaboration across origination, structuring, and lending teams.

The internship runs for 6 months (January-June) and focuses on developing analytical and financial modelling skills within ING Wholesale Bank in Asia.

Qualifications

• Legal work rights in the country of internship.
• Strong MS Office skills: Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with ability to update financial models.
• Knowledge of accounting would be very helpful.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate credit risk including financial, business and industry risk for sector-based corporate clients in Asia.
• Input client data into internal financial analysis and risk rating systems.
• Prepare overdue credit and rating reports, overdue covenant reports, and other ad hoc reports.
• Be involved in projects.

What does Portfolio Management (\"PM\") Team do in ING?

PM team is responsible for portfolio management of our loan portfolio. It covers all activities post the initial funding to the final repayment of a lending transaction. As a front office department, it closely collaborates with sector-based origination & structuring and corporate and specialized lending transaction management colleagues and other product specialists to ensure a seamless client experience.

What will you be doing?

• Support the PM team in evaluating credit risk, including financial, business and industry risk, of our sector based corporate clients in Asia.


• Input client data in our internal financial analysis and risk rating systems.


• Portfolio management including preparing overdue credit and rating reports, overdue covenant reports, and other ad hoc reports.


• Be involved in projects.


• Updating financial models.

What qualities and skills are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

• You should have legal work rights in the country of internship.


• Good working knowledge of excel, PowerPoint and word.


• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, and able to update financial models.


• Knowledge of accounting would be very helpful.
