ING WB Asia Internship Programme 2027 invites undergraduates in Singapore to join the Fund Finance team for a 6-month January–June 2027 stint. You will work with a dynamic front office team, supporting capital call facilities, client monitoring, and transaction updates in a collaborative, international bank environment.

We seek 2nd to final year students with interest in banking and finance, fluent English, and basic Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

  • 2nd to final year undergraduate with a demonstrated interest in banking and finance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with fluent spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute meaningfully to the team.
  • Prior exposure to structured lending or fund finance concepts would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Fund Finance APAC team in the origination and execution of capital call facilities and other solutions to private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure funds.
  • Assist with the management of clients and transactions including customer due diligence, deal support and client monitoring.
  • Prepare communication for internal stakeholders including pipeline, transaction status, and portfolio updates.
  • Cooperate closely with other ING teams and assist on ad hoc projects as required.

What does the Fund Finance Team do in ING?

ING's Financial Institutions (FI) sector combines relationship management, multi‑product sales and structured lending for Bank and Non‑bank Financial Institutions (NBFI). NBFI clients include sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, pension funds, securities companies and alternative and traditional asset managers. Fund Finance is a strategic suite of products to provide financing solutions to these alternative and traditional asset managers / financial sponsors and is a key growth area within the FI sector to provide relationship capital and value accretive financings to these key clients. Fund Finance APAC works in sync with a wider team located in London, Luxembourg and New York that focuses on providing financing solutions to similar private capital vehicles.

What will you be doing?

What qualities and skills are we looking for?

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

Qualification:

2nd to final year undergraduate with a demonstrated interest in banking and finance.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Basic understanding of how a wholesale bank operates and its business model.
  • Ability to work within deadlines with limited supervision and a high level of initiative.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute meaningfully to the team and the bank as a whole.
  • Prior exposure to structured lending or fund finance concepts would be advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with fluent spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
