Job summary

Sembcorp Industries Ltd in Singapore invites a data and analytics associate to support renewable energy projects. You will help onboarding data into analytics platforms, configure monitoring devices for new solar sites, and perform initial data extraction and analysis.

The role also involves automating routine reports, validating data from sites, and assisting other teams with data processing while maintaining documentation and site records.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Python or scripting for automation and data processing.
• Technical background in renewable energy is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with monitoring platforms.
• Experience with Python (Pandas) and/or Power Automate is an advantage.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Onboard data into analytics platforms and ensure seamless integration.
• Support commissioning and pre-configuration of monitoring devices for new solar sites.
• Organize and execute routine data extraction; perform initial site analysis.
• Conduct system activation checks for newly commissioned solar sites.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for onboarded sites on the analytics dashboard.
• Provide data extraction and processing support to other departments as needed.
• Lead initiatives to automate routine reporting and daily workflows.

• Track open items for site operations using Excel or Power Apps.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the onboarding of data into analytics platforms, ensuring seamless integration.
• Support the commissioning and pre-configuration of monitoring devices (e.g., dataloggers, sensors) for new solar sites.
• Organize and execute routine data extraction processes; perform initial analysis to identify underperforming sites.
• Conduct system activation checks for newly commissioned solar sites.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for newly onboarded sites on the analytics dashboard.
• Provide data extraction and processing support to other departments as needed.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to automate routine reporting and daily operational workflows.
• Validate data from newly activated sites and assist in troubleshooting communication devices.
• Track open items for site operations using tools like Excel or Power Apps.
• Manage site documents, user accounts on the monitoring platform, and inventory organization.
• Support engineers with data analysis and operational tasks.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Basic knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for automation and data processing
• Technical background in renewable energy is a plus.
