Job summary

EDP Renewables APAC is seeking an intern to support deal teams across the M&A lifecycle in the Asia Pacific region. You will help draft documents, build financial models, and challenge valuation inputs to identify optimization levers in transactions.

Ideal candidates hold a Finance/Economics degree, are proficient with Excel and PowerPoint, and may have Python knowledge. Mandarin/Japanese/Vietnamese language exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Excel and PowerPoint proficiency are key; Python knowledge would be a bonus.
  • Asian languages such as Mandarin Chinese, Japanese or Vietnamese are welcome but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Support deal teams with a wide variety of tasks around M&A activities in APAC in the full deal life cycle.
  • Assist drafting of important documents for the analysis and valuation of potential transactions including
  • Prepare financial models and economic cases for investment decisions
  • Challenge valuation inputs and assumptions, propose sensitivities, and identify optimization levers in transactions.
  • Coordination and execution of the due diligence, structuring and negotiation of transaction documentation in potential M&A opportunities.
  • Preparation of strategic analysis projects (e.g. portfolio and country analysis, asset rotation and partnerships).
  • Support the analysis of new projects in terms of economic risk and strategic options and provide reports of findings.
  • Support the preparation of EDPR business plans and impairment analyses, in coordination with other departments

Requirements
