Job summary

EDP Renewables APAC is seeking a final-year student or recent graduate for an internship in digital solutions. You will learn how application ownership, data and AI come together in a real business environment, supporting regional applications with reliable, secure and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• No prior professional experience required; academic projects, internships or volunteering welcomed.
• Interest in digital solutions, data, automation or AI is highly valued.
• Hands-on exposure to basic programming, data analysis or digital tools is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Basic familiarity with Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus; training will be provided.
• Interest in Microsoft Azure and cloud tools is desirable.
• Basic understanding of SQL, data and dashboards is helpful.
• Interest in how applications are integrated and how systems communicate is a plus.
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with Business Units to translate needs into tasks, user stories and small improvements.
• Support lifecycle, backlog and continuous improvement of regional applications.
• Assist design, development and implementation of digital solutions, including small applications, automations, dashboards and data tasks.
• Learn and apply security, architecture and engineering standards in day-to-day work.
• Support integrations using APIs, web services, event-driven patterns and cloud services.
• Help with data preparation, basic data models and analytical solutions using Azure, SQL and Fabric.
• Contribute to practical AI-enabled ideas and automation opportunities with governance.
• Help with testing, deployment, data checks and transition-to-support activities using Agile and DevOps practices.
• Support the resolution of incidents, documentation updates and technical debt, helping keep applications in good shape.

Summary

Support the delivery, evolution and continuous improvement of digital solutions across EDP APAC, learning how application ownership, data and AI come together in a real business environment.Act as an intern within the team, helping the regional technical reference with reliable, secure and scalable solutions while building practical experience, confidence and good engineering habits.

Requirements

• Final-year student or recent graduate or undergraduate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• No prior professional experience required. Academic projects, internships, personal projects or volunteer work are welcome.
• Interest in digital solutions, data, automation or AI is highly valued.
• Hands-on exposure to basic programming, data analysis or digital tools is a plus, but not mandatory.

• Comfort with Git, teamwork tools and structured ways of working is beneficial.
• Exposure to Generative AI, automation or low-code platforms is a bonus, not a requirement.
• Curious, proactive and eager to learn.
• Good communication skills and ability to ask questions when support is needed.
