Job summary

Singlife invites an enthusiastic Polytechnic Intern to join the Cyber Security (TISO) team. You will learn how security reviews, artefacts, and governance operate within a regulated financial services setting and assist in building dashboards and automations to streamline workflows.

You will gain hands-on exposure to Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and reinforcing risk-aware decision making.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a polytechnic diploma in Cyber Security, IT, CS or CS Engineering.
• Exposure to basic digital tools like Excel or PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI/Power Automate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Map and improve TISO workflows (security review intake, vulnerability tracking & reporting).
• Assist in security reviews by checking designs, change requests and project documents.
• Review security artefacts to ensure completeness and alignment with standards.
• Update security standards, checklists and templates to stay current with policies and regulations.
• Prepare simple security metrics, dashboards or reports using Excel/Power BI/Power Automate to improve visibility.

Responsibilities

• Help map and improve TISO workflows such as security review intake, vulnerability tracking and reporting, so that the team can work faster and more consistently.
• Support security reviews by helping to check solution designs, change requests and project documents and summarising key risks or gaps for the team.
• Review security artefacts submitted by project, application and infrastructure teams to ensure they are complete, clear and aligned to required standards.
• Assist in updating security standards, checklists and templates so they stay relevant, easy to use and aligned with Singlife’s policies and regulatory expectations.
• Help prepare simple security metrics, dashboards or reports using tools such as Excel, Power BI, Power Automate or other digital tools to improve visibility for stakeholders.

Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing a diploma in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Skills: Comfortable with basic digital tools such as Excel or PowerPoint; exposure to scripting, automation, Power BI, Power Automate or AI tools would be a plus.
• Interest: Curious about cyber security, technology risk, AI, automation and how organisations protect their systems and data.
• Mindset: Eager to learn, detail-oriented and willing to ask questions, try new ideas and solve problems in a practical way.
• Teamwork: Able to work well with others, communicate clearly and take ownership of tasks while being open to guidance and feedback.
