Job summary

Singlife in Singapore invites a Technology Governance Intern to gain hands-on exposure to technology risk, controls and responsible AI within a financial services setting. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a polytechnic diploma in IT or a related field.
• Basic experience with Excel, PowerPoint, Power Automate, Power BI, Python or similar tools.

• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment.
• Ability to summarise findings in a clear, organised manner.

Responsibilities

• Review technology governance processes and identify tasks to simplify or automate.
• Organise and analyse risk, control and issue information to spot trends or gaps.
• Explore data, automation or AI prototypes using approved tools to improve workflows.
• Assist with documentation, templates, testing and feedback to ensure practical solutions.
• Support day-to-day governance activities, including tracking actions and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in understanding current Technology Governance processes and identifying tasks that can be simplified or automated.
• Help organise, review and analyse risk, control and issue-related information to spot trends, gaps or items that may need to be followed-up.
• Explore simple data, automation or AI-enabled prototypes using approved tools to improve how the team works.
• Assist with documentation, templates, testing and feedback to ensure solutions are clear, practical and easy to use.
• Support day-to-day governance activities, including tracking open actions, preparing information and learning how technology risks are managed responsibly.

Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing a diploma in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Business IT, AI, or a related field.
• Skills: Basic experience with tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power Automate, Power BI, Python or other data/automation tools would be helpful, but not a must.
• Interest: Curious about technology, data, AI and how they can be used responsibly to solve real business problems.
• Mindset: Comfortable working with information, spotting details and summarising findings in a clear and organised way.
• Teamwork: Willing to learn, ask questions and collaborate with others in a supportive team environment.
