Job summary

Qualifications

  • University students pursuing an Engineering or Safety-related course.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative and values teamwork.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work at the Tukang (Jurong) office.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in scheduled and ad-hoc workplace inspections.
  • Document findings and assist with corrective action follow-up.
  • Updating and maintaining safety records, checklists, permits, registers, training logs, inspection reports, and incident logs.
  • Supporting the preparation of safety materials, posters, and toolbox talk topics.
  • Assisting in organising safety drills and training sessions.
  • Encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives.
  • Observing and reporting unsafe behaviours or areas for improvement.
  • Supporting the implementation of local HSE regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Communicating and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Preparing meeting minutes for safety committee meetings.

Role overview:

The primary role of the Health, Safety and Environment Internship (HSE) is to support the HSE department in fostering a safe, healthy work environment and enhancing employee wellbeing.

What you’ll be doing:
