Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences in Singapore offers a Global Supply Chain internship for early-career engineers to gain practical experience in a medical device setting.

As an intern in our Global Supply Chain, you will have an opportunity to work cross-functionally with sales and manufacturing operations, and assess challenges and formulate action plans with key stakeholders. By the end of the internship, you will have gained detailed insight into the medical device supply chain.

How you will make an impact:

• To work on time study project for the newly setup Flexcell pilot line and in warehouse layout optimisation project.
• Assist in printers validation as needed

Functional experience may vary by student, and would be focused within one or many of these supply chain functions:

• Supply Chain Planning Software
• Packaging, labelling and kitting process
• Procurement
• Strategic Sourcing
• Logistics
• Warehousing
• Transportation
• Trade Compliance
• Inventory Management

What you’ll need (Required):

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree (Major/Minor in Industrial Engineering)
• Seeking to have hands-on experience applying industrial engineering knowledge in operations line
• Open to exposure in warehouse operations and value added activities operations.

What else we look for (Preferred):

• Must have excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment. Ability to multi-task while working in a fast paced environment.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience desirable.
• Strong interest in pursuing relevant industry experience within the healthcare and medical devices industry a plus.
• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control.
