Job summary

Marina Bay Sands is seeking an entry‑level software developer to assist in coding and debugging .NET based applications under supervision. You will support development using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, APIs, and related Microsoft technologies while learning the full SDLC.

No prior experience required as on‑the‑job training is provided; candidates with basic programming skills and a willingness to learn will thrive in a collaborative team environment in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science / IT / Software Engineering, AI, IT, or related program.
• No professional experience required; on‑the‑job training provided; prior experience is a bonus.
• Willingness to learn, curiosity, problem solving, attention to detail, and good teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic programming knowledge with exposure to object‑oriented concepts; familiarity with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, JavaScript, HTML, CSS preferred.
• Basic understanding of relational databases and simple SQL queries.
• Exposure to Visual Studio, Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps; helpful but not mandatory.
• Any academic, internship, or personal project involving web apps, APIs, databases, dashboards, or enterprise systems is advantageous.
• Strong collaboration and communication to learn development processes and support ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coding and debugging of .NET‑based applications, adding simple features and fixing bugs under supervision.
• Support development activities using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, APIs, and related Microsoft tech as guided by seniors.
• Participate in SDLC phases: requirements, design support, development, testing, deployment, and post‑go live support.
• Work with basic data and SQL by retrieving, checking, and organizing simple datasets for features, reports, or analysis.
• Help prepare test cases and perform unit/functional testing; document test results and address QA/UAT issues.
• Document code changes, technical notes, troubleshooting steps, test results, and deployment information.
• Follow coding standards, secure practices, version control, and documentation guidelines from mentors.
• Collaborate with teammates to learn processes, attend code walkthroughs, and support ongoing project work.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in coding and debugging of .NET-based web, mobile, or enterprise applications, including adding simple features and fixing bugs under supervision.
• Support application development activities using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, APIs, and related Microsoft technologies as guided by senior developers.
• Participate in various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement understanding, design support, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Work with basic data and SQL by helping to retrieve, check, and organize simple datasets for application features, reports, troubleshooting, or analysis.
• Support testing activities by helping to prepare test cases, perform unit or functional testing, document test results, and address issues identified during QA or UAT.
• Document code changes, technical notes, troubleshooting steps, test results, and deployment-related information for future reference.
• Follow internal coding standards, secure development practices, version control processes, and documentation guidelines as instructed by mentors.
• Collaborate with team members to learn development processes, attend code walkthroughs, participate in discussions, and support ongoing project activities.

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

Higher NITEC, Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or a related program.

Experience

No experience required as on the job training will be provided. Prior experience will be a bonus.

Other prerequisites

• Technical Skills: Basic programming knowledge with exposure to object-oriented programming concepts. Familiarity with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or similar technologies is preferred.
