Job summary

Marina Bay Sands Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Developer to execute development activities for local IT projects, aligning with organizational standards and best practices. You will work with the Application Development team and Architects to implement code per approved designs and specifications.

The role involves contributing to SDLC processes, troubleshooting, code reviews, and ensuring high-quality, secure, scalable web applications. Collaboration with QA and IT stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree holder.
• 6-8 years development experience with strong fundamentals in requirements, design, coding, and testing.
• 3-4 years’ experience in application development on iSeries using RPG and CL.
• Experience with software design patterns and .NET/C# development.
• Experience with Infinium platform and building responsive web applications.

Responsibilities

• Execute application development deliverables and activities.
• Participate in SDLC phases and interface with stakeholders to perform development activities.
• Document application technical specifications and database design.
• Troubleshoot incidents and resolve technical issues.
• Deploy components and applications on Windows client/server environments.
• Conduct peer code reviews.
• Advocate internal software design, development standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Development, Architecture and QA teams to align with specs.
• Adhere to SDLC and governance guidelines.

Job Summary

At Marina Bay Sands, the primary responsibility of the Senior Developer will be to execute all Development related activities for local MBS IT Projects whilst aligning to standards & best practices followed within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute application development deliverables and activities
• Participate in various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for IT Projects and to interface with various IT stakeholders such as 3rd party vendor suppliers, business analysts and project managers to perform development activities
• Documenting the application technical specifications and database detail design
• Experienced in troubleshooting incidents and resolving technical issues
• Experienced in deploying components and applications on windows environment – client and server based
• Conducting Peer code reviews
• Adhere to, influence, and advocate internal software design & development standards, processes and best practices such as but not limited to code re-use, scalability, portability, secure, documentation, etc.
• Work closely with the Application Development team members and Architects to develop code that is aligned to approved design and specifications.
• Work closely with the Application Development team and QA teams to ensure any defects highlighted in QA or UAT phases are remediated.
• Adhere to SDLC, and Project Governance internal and regulatory (Sarbanes Oxley & Casino Regulatory Authority) guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Experience

• 6-8 year’s development experience and can demonstrate strong understanding of fundamentals of requirements specification, design, coding, and testing of information systems
• 3-4 years’ experience in application development on iSeries using RPG, CL programming
• Experienced with the usage of Software design patterns
• Experienced in .NET Platform & C# programming
• Experienced in application development on Infinium platform
• Experienced in building responsive web applications

Other Prerequisites

• Proficient in the usages of RDBMS – MS SQL Server and SSIS.
• Proficient in REST based APIs using JSON and web services
• Applies well-defined and disciplined development, implementation, and production processes.
• Proven & demonstrable hands-on experience in developing high-availability, multi-tiered and secure web applications
• Good debugging and trouble shooting skills.
• Experienced in using version control systems – TFS.
