Job summary

Marina Bay Sands is seeking an entry-level AI tools assistant to support application development. You will explore basic AI tools, test features, prepare prompts, and assist with simple automation under guidance.

You will handle basic data tasks with SQL and help with documentation and troubleshooting as part of a collaborative team. Ideal candidates have a degree or diploma in CS/IT/AI, basic programming knowledge (Python/Java/C#/JS) and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, AI, Information Technology, or a related program.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Basic programming knowledge in Python, C#, Java, or JavaScript.
• Basic exposure to AI, ML, Generative AI through coursework/projects.
• Basic understanding of data and simple SQL queries.
• Exposure to Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Willingness to learn, curiosity, teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team in exploring and using basic AI tools or services in application development.
• Support simple AI-related tasks such as testing AI features, checking outputs, preparing sample prompts, or helping with basic automation use cases.
• Help with application support activities such as testing, troubleshooting, documenting issues, and making small updates with guidance from the team.
• Work with basic data and SQL by helping to retrieve, check, and organize simple datasets for reports, analysis, or AI-related use cases.
• Collaborate with team members to learn development processes, test simple changes, and support ongoing project activities.
• Prepare simple documentation such as notes, test results, data checks, and steps followed for future reference.
• Follow internal guidelines and learn good development, security, and documentation practices.
• Participate in team discussions, code walkthroughs, and learning sessions.

Job Requirements

• Experience: No experience required as on‑the‑job training will be provided.
• Other prerequisites:
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of any programming language such as Python, C#, Java, or JavaScript is preferred.
  • AI Exposure: Basic exposure to AI, machine learning, Generative AI, or AI tools through coursework, projects, internships, or self‑learning.
  • Data and SQL: Basic understanding of data and simple SQL queries is preferred.
  • Tools: Exposure to Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar tools is helpful but not mandatory.
  • Soft Skills: Willingness to learn, curiosity, basic problem‑solving ability, and good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Any academic or personal project involving AI, data, SQL, dashboards, or simple applications will be an advantage.
