Job summary

Allianz Singapore invites motivated undergraduates in business/finance/actuarial studies to join a 5–6 month full-time internship focused on corporate strategy and distribution. You will work with the regional agency distribution team in Asia, building dashboards, analyzing market data, and supporting strategic initiatives.

The role offers exposure to financial KPIs, growth metrics, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders across the region in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate in business administration, finance, actuarial science or statistics.
• Comfortable handling diverse data sets (financial, people, KPIs).
• Experience with dashboard creation or BI tools helpful.
• Analytical approach to problem solving is essential.
• Team player, able to work in fast-paced settings.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with AI tools.

Job Purpose:

Are you keen on helping shape the future of Allianz in Asia, a key region of growth for the organization? Join our regional agency distribution team in the Asian headquarters and experience first‑hand the inner workings and the strategic steering of the Life and Health insurance business units. You will collaborate with various external & internal stakeholders and support the regional team in different projects, contributing to the transformation of the distribution channel.
This is your chance to gain insights and valuable practical experience in the financial services and insurance industry, more specifically in the areas of corporate strategy and distribution, all while working in an international environment with exposure to various markets in Asia.

Candidates must be able to commit to a full-time 5-6 month internship.

What you do

1. Support analysis regarding distribution management activities via management dashboards and reports in the areas of distribution and corporate strategy (e.g. financial KPIs, growth metrics, competitor analysis, etc.)
2. Analyze current trends, key players, and market developments across Asia
3. Review of company financials, growth drivers, and economic factors changing the insurance landscape in Asia
4. Provide data analysis and interpretation of relevant agency, bancassurance, customer & market data
5. Contribute to and support the regional growth strategy to transform the agency distribution channel
6. Project management on ad-hoc strategic initiatives in relation to the development & execution of distribution ecosystem strategies
7. Manage internal and external stakeholders across the region
8. Support the creation of convincing market development pitches

Through the activities mentioned above, the intern will be able to gain exposure, understand business steering activities and the development of distribution strategies of an international insurer, and obtain hands‑on experience by participating in real‑life tasks and assisting team members.

What you bring

1. You are a business administration/finance/actuarial science/statistics undergraduate looking to understand corporate strategy from a regional standpoint
2. You are comfortable in handling various sets of data (financial, people, functional KPIs)
3. Prior experience in dashboard creation
4. Analytical approach to problem-solving
5. Able to work well with others in a fast‑paced setting
6. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and AI‑skills e.g. ChatGPT or Copilot
7. Previous experience in Consulting/Strategy roles is a plus
