Job summary

SATS Ltd. in Singapore invites a Process Improvement Intern to join our food solutions and operations teams. You will analyze production workflows, identify bottlenecks, and work with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency.

You will assist in time-and-motion studies, support automation deployments, evaluate digital tools, and help document SOP updates while developing training materials.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with process mapping or automation tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with Process Improvement Intern to analyze existing food production workflows and identify bottlenecks.
• Assist in time-and-motion studies to compare cycle times vs. takt time and propose headcount optimization.
• Support the deployment of automation solutions such as conveyor systems, labeling machines, or packing aids.
• Evaluate digital tools (IoT sensors, data dashboards, barcode scanning) to improve traceability and quality control.
• Collaborate with culinary, logistics, and QA teams to test and implement pilot projects.
• Document process changes, SOP updates, and assist in developing training materials.
• Propose market trends and emerging technologies in food automation, robotics, and smart catering.
• Develop proof-of-concept / minimal-viable-product digital solutions
