Job summary

The Singapore Business Federation invites applications for an Intern (AI Automation) to design and build a chatbot from scratch using Microsoft Copilot Studio, connect it to business systems with Power Automate, and fine-tune generative AI to answer diverse queries, working with our IT team and stakeholders across SBF.

Qualifications

Job description

As our Intern (AI Automation), you will design and build a chatbot from scratch using Microsoft Copilot Studio, connect it to real business systems with Power Automate, and fine-tune generative AI to answer a wide range of user queries, working alongside our IT team and stakeholders across SBF. You will gain practical skills in conversational AI, low-code development and systems integration, and see first-hand how AI is transforming the way organisations serve their people.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Build: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories and map out conversational flows to create an effective chatbot experience.
• Develop: Use Microsoft Copilot Studio to build, configure and refine chatbot topics, entities and logic.
• Integrate: Leverage Power Automate (Flows) to connect the chatbot with backend systems, databases and APIs, such as retrieving user data, creating support tickets and looking up information.
• Leverage AI: Implement and fine-tune generative AI capabilities within Copilot Studio, including generative answers using company data from sources such as SharePoint and internal websites, to dynamically handle a wide range of user queries.
• Test & Debug: Conduct thorough testing to ensure the chatbot is accurate, responsive and delivers a seamless user experience. Troubleshoot and resolve issues along the way.
• Analyse & Iterate: Monitor chatbot analytics, including resolution rates, escalation rates and popular topics, to identify areas for improvement and continuously enhance its performance.
• Document: Create and maintain clear documentation covering the chatbot’s design, configuration and maintenance procedures.

Requirements

• Preferably pursuing studies in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computing (Data Science & Artificial Intelligence) or other related disciplines
• Familiarity with or hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Platform, including Copilot Studio, Power Automate and Power Apps
• Good understanding of AI and technology concepts such as LLMs, NLP, MCP and APIs
• Good communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Curious, willing to learn and keen to apply AI to solve real-world business needs
• Must be able to commit to a full-time internship for a minimum of five months, starting from Jan 2027
