Job summary

NGAI CHIN CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare tender documents, cost estimates, and pricing submissions for tender exercises. You will participate in tender interviews and support project presentations as required.

You will prepare, monitor, and control project budgets to ensure cost efficiency, handle RVOs, and manage progress/ final accounts. Coordinate with teams to ensure smooth project execution and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Preference for QS/Engineering/Architecture graduates with ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant pre-tender and post-tender project management experience.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam software and proficiency in MS Excel is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender documents, cost estimations, and pricing submissions for tender exercises.
• Participate in tender interviews and support project presentations when required.
• Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets to ensure cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Handle Request for Variation Orders (RVOs) and evaluate related cost implications.
• Prepare and process progress claims, subcontractor claims, and final accounts.
• Source materials and services, negotiate with suppliers/subcontractors, and manage procurement and tendering.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents for quantity take-off and cost analysis.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients on cost-related matters to ensure smooth project execution.
