Job summary

recruitSG is seeking an Interior Design Drafter in Singapore to translate creative concepts into accurate technical drawings for residential and commercial projects. You will collaborate with Interior Designers and Project Team to produce detailed documentation and ensure drawings meet standards from concept through completion.

Applicants should have a Diploma/Degree in Interior Design or related field, at least 1 year of drafting experience, a strong portfolio, and proficiency in AutoCAD,

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in interior design, renovation, or architectural drafting.
• A portfolio showcasing drafting work is required.
• Strong knowledge of construction detailing, materials, and interior fit-out processes.
• Excellent drafting skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical drawings and construction documentation for residential and commercial interior design projects.
• Produce layout plans, demolition plans, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, electrical and lighting layouts, elevation drawings, section drawings, and detailed carpentry/joinery drawings.
• Translate conceptual designs into accurate and buildable technical drawings.
• Ensure all drawings are prepared in accordance with project specifications, design intent, and industry standards.
• Work closely with Interior Designers, Project Managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure drawings are accurate and up to date.
• Revise drawings promptly based on design developments, site conditions, and client feedback.
• Coordinate technical details and resolve drawing discrepancies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site measurements and verify dimensions where required.
• Maintain high drafting accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ensure all documentation is properly organised, version-controlled, and issued according to project timelines.
• Support the project team in preparing presentation drawings, material references, and technical documentation when required.

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientedInterior Design Drafterto join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with our Interior Designers and Project Team to translate creative concepts into accurate technical drawings and documentation for project execution.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of interior fit-out detailing, construction methods, and drafting standards, with the ability to produce high-quality drawings that support smooth project delivery from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Drafting & Documentation

• Prepare detailed technical drawings and construction documentation for residential and commercial interior design projects.
• Produce layout plans, demolition plans, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, electrical and lighting layouts, elevation drawings, section drawings, and detailed carpentry/joinery drawings.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1years of relevant experiencein interior design, renovation, or architectural drafting.
• A portfolio showcasing your drafting work and completed projects is required.
• Strong knowledge of construction detailing, materials, and interior fit-out processes.
• Excellent technical drawing skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a proactive attitude.

Software Requirements

Candidates should be proficient in the following:

• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Adobe Creative Suite(Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Microsoft Office

Experience with 3D visualisation or rendering software is an added advantage.
Salary Range: $2,200 - $2,800
