Job summary

Mr Shopper Studio in Singapore is seeking an Interior Design Consultant to engage with clients, understand their lifestyle, and develop personalised design solutions using our Interior Personality Analysis™ methodology.

You will prepare proposals, manage client relationships, and collaborate with design, drafting and project teams through the renovation journey, with senior candidates able to handle premium residential clients independently.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Interior Design or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of interior design or renovation sales experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design sense and space planning.

About the role

This Interior Design Consultant role focuses on client engagement, design consultation, and project collaboration. You will work with clients to understand their requirements and develop personalised design solutions using our unique Interior Personality Analysis™ methodology.

You will prepare design proposals, manage client relationships and collaborate closely with our design, drafting and project teams throughout the renovation journey. The position offered will be based on your experience, portfolio and capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand their lifestyles, design requirements, preferences and budgets
• Conduct professional design consultations using MSS’s unique Interior Personality Analysis™ methodology
• Develop and present space-planning concepts, design proposals and quotations confidently
• Follow up on qualified enquiries and convert opportunities into confirmed projects
• Provide creative and practical design solutions aligned with each client’s needs
• Build strong client relationships and manage expectations throughout the renovation journey
• Collaborate closely with our design, drafting and project teams
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and relevant parties when required
• Monitor project progress and maintain clear communication with clients
• Ensure a smooth and positive client experience from consultation to project completion

About you

• Diploma in Interior Design or an equivalent qualification
• At least 1 year of relevant interior design or renovation sales experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating good design sense and space-planning ability
• Good understanding of renovation workflows, materials and project coordination
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop and presentation software
• Knowledge of SketchUp or rendering software will be an advantage
• Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Confident in client consultations, proposal presentations and sales conversion
• Self-motivated, responsible and performance-driven
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team
• Senior candidates should have a consistent record in sales and project delivery, with the ability to manage premium residential clients independently
