Established in 2010, DISTINCTidENTITY is a Singapore-based interior design studio delivering thoughtfully designed and well-executed residential and commercial environments.

The Role:

We are seeking a client-facing Interior Design Consultant who will take ownership of the design process and client relationship, while working closely within a team to ensure successful project delivery.

This role is suited for designers who are confident in leading clients through the design journey, and who are equally comfortable collaborating with internal teams on execution.

At DISTINCTidENTITY, project delivery is structured and team-oriented:

• Design and client communication are led by the Interior Design Consultant.
• Project management, scheduling, and site coordination are supported collaboratively within the team.
• The role is salary-based, and not structured as an individual commission-driven position.

This approach allows designers to focus on design quality and client experience, while benefiting from shared team support during execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead client consultations to understand spatial requirements, lifestyle/brand needs, and budget.
• Develop space planning, layouts, and design concepts.
• Prepare and present mood boards, material palettes, and design proposals.
• Guide clients through the design process and manage feedback effectively.

Project Involvement

• Prepare quotations and design documentation.
• Work closely with internal team members on project coordination and delivery.
• Attend site visits to ensure design intent is properly executed.
• Contribute to maintaining consistency and quality across projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in interior design (Singapore experience preferred).
• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or a related field from a Polytechnic or tertiary institution.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (required), MS Office and presentation tools.
• Passionate about interior design with a strong eye for aesthetics, space planning, and detailing.
• Client-oriented with the ability to understand needs and propose suitable design solutions.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence in client-facing interactions.
• Able to communicate ideas effectively, both visually and verbally.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team setting.
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• While this role is intended for candidates with prior interior design experience, we are open to considering motivated fresh graduates who demonstrate strong design thinking, technical ability, and a willingness to learn.
