UWCSEA East seeks a qualified Freelance Music Instructor to work with the Head of Primary Music and Activities Manager from October 2026. The role involves delivering lessons for Grades 3-6 and supporting ensemble activities on East Campus.

Responsibilities include planning tailored lessons, liaising with parents and staff, and contributing to student performances, while adhering to health and safety requirements for musicians.

Qualifications

• Preferable music qualification or equivalent.
• Experience delivering school music lessons.
• Well-organised and able to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and paired lessons to students of all abilities and ages.
• Plan and prepare lessons tailored to students' needs and syllabuses.
• Communicate progress with Head of Primary School Music, parents, and activities staff.
• Create engaging, innovative lessons that are fun and challenging.
• Collaborate with students, colleagues, and UWCSEA team members.
• Support student performances and recitals throughout the year.
• Understand health and safety requirements of working as a musician.
