Job summary

HPS PARTNERS PTE. LTD. seeks an Innovation Engineer to bridge emerging technologies with automated production systems. You will design, program, and commission control systems, robotics, and Industry 4.0 solutions for advanced manufacturing projects.

You will collaborate with internal and external teams to evaluate requirements, design architectures, program PLCs/HMIs, and ensure safety and ISO/IEC compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on PLC/HMI programming, motion control, and electrical control system design.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols and commissioning.
• Familiarity with robotics, vision systems or Industry 4.0 tech is a plus.
• Programming exposure in Python, C#, or C++ preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional communication skills.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver automation projects.

• Program, test, and validate PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems.
• Integrate robotics, vision, laser units and sensors on production lines.
• Implement safe machine architectures per ISO/IEC standards.
• Configure industrial networks and support Industry 4.0 data collection.
• Lead FAT/SAT validation, commissioning, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain technical documentation and update SOPs/PM checklists.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, WSH regs and GMP.

Job description

Our client is seeking anInnovation Engineerto bridge emerging technologies and automated production systems. You will lead the design, programming, and commissioning of control systems, robotics, and Industry 4.0 solutions for advanced manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external vendors to evaluate requirements and deliver automation projects.
• Design machine control architectures, panel layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent CAD software.
• Program, test, and validate PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems following IEC 61131-3 standards.
• Integrate robotics, vision systems, laser units, sensors, and third-party equipment into automated production lines.
• Implement compliant machine safety architectures (safety PLCs, interlocks, E-stops) according to ISO/IEC standards.
• Configure industrial communication networks (EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP/IP, OPC UA) and support Industry 4.0 data collection.
• Lead FAT/SAT validation, equipment commissioning, and root cause analysis to optimize machine reliability and OEE.
• Maintain complete technical documentation (BOM, FDS, I/O lists) and update SOPs and PM checklists.
• Ensure all projects comply with internal engineering standards, WSH regulations, and GMP guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Practical background in PLC/HMI programming, motion control, and electrical control system design.
• Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols and equipment commissioning.
• Familiarity with robotics, vision systems, or Industry 4.0 technologies is an advantage.
• Programming exposure (Python, C#, C++) preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
