Job summary

TESCOM (SINGAPORE) SOFTWARE SYSTEMS TESTING PTE LTD. seeks an experienced platform operations lead to manage container platforms and COTS services in a tenant environment. You will guide the team, handle incidents, changes, RCA, and lifecycle while driving automation and observability.

The role requires strong Kubernetes expertise, Docker/Podman, and experience with MongoDB, MSSQL, Nginx, and Apache. Preference for candidates with govt/regulatory environment experience.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years infrastructure/platform experience.
• Strong Kubernetes / container platform experience.
• Experience with Docker / Podman.
• Experience installing and managing MongoDB, MSSQL, Nginx, Apache.
• Experience with messaging systems (IBM MQ, MQTT, Kafka equivalent).
• Understanding of network, firewall, load balancer (for troubleshooting).
• Linux administration and OS hardening.
• Monitoring tools (eG Monitoring, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK).
• Experience in government / regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform operations team for container platforms and COTS services.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot COTS components.
• Work with application and AFE teams for integration and issue resolution.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and architecture documentation.
• Ensure monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Support patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure OS hardening compliance (golden image).
• Drive capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Lead DR/BCP activities.

Job description

Manage and operate platform services in a tenant environment above hypervisor level.

Ensure reliability, security, and operability of container platforms and COTS components (MongoDB, Nginx, MQTT, IBM MQ, ArcGIS, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead platform operations team for container platforms and COTS services
• Manage incidents, changes, RCA, and platform lifecycle
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot COTS components
• Work with application and Authority Furnised Equipment (AFE) teams for integration and issue resolution
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and architecture documentation
• Ensure monitoring, logging, and observability
• Support patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
• Ensure OS hardening compliance (golden image)
• Drive capacity planning and performance tuning
• Lead DR/BCP activities
