Job summary

NCS is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems in Singapore to design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure across on‑premises and cloud environments. You will manage virtualization platforms, implement IaC with Terraform & Ansible, and develop CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in infra roles, strong Linux/Windows admin skills, and hands-on cloud, container, and monitoring experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure engineering.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, ELK Stack, Splunk, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure systems across on‑premises and cloud environments.
• Manage and optimize virtualization platforms, ensuring efficient resource allocation and performance.
• Implement and manage IaC solutions using Terraform and Ansible to automate provisioning.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and deployment.
• Monitor system performance and health using monitoring and logging tools; analyze metrics for optimization.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues systematically and minimize downtime.
• Administer Linux and Windows servers, applying security patches and compliance requirements.
• Manage Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and orchestration.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to meet application requirements.
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures clearly.
• Participate in incident response and disaster recovery planning/testing.
• Stay current with infrastructure technologies and best practices.
