Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to administer and maintain Microsoft environments, storage, and backup systems in a Singapore-based role. The candidate will participate in migrations and modernization projects while ensuring high availability and security.

The role requires VMware experience, Hyper-V, and scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Shell). Familiarity with ITIL practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or related sciences is required.
• Windows system administration background is required.
• 2+ years of VMware experience with knowledge on HCI, SDDC, ESX, VCenter and Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with VMware automation (VRA, VRO).
• Hands-on knowledge of Shell, Python, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft infrastructure environments (Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, M365, etc.).
• Manage storage provisioning, performance monitoring, and SAN administration.
• Monitor backup and recovery environments; support DR and policy management.
• Participate in infrastructure projects: install, test, deploy, document, handover.
• Ensure availability and troubleshoot incidents to maintain service reliability.

Job description

Responsibility

• Administer and maintain Microsoft infrastructure environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft Entra Connect, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft 365, DFS, WSUS, Remote Desktop Services (RDS), and Hyper-V.
• Manage enterprise storage environments, including storage provisioning, performance monitoring, capacity management, Fibre Channel SAN administration, and storage expansion activities.
• Administer backup and recovery environments, including backup monitoring, recovery testing, restoration activities, disaster recovery support, and backup policy management.
• Participate in infrastructure implementation, migration, upgrade, and modernization projects, including installation, configuration, testing, deployment, documentation, and handover activities.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, performance, and capacity, troubleshoot infrastructure-related incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure service reliability.

Requirements

• Degree in any Information Technology degree or related sciences
• Windows system administration background is required
• 2+ years of VMWare experience with good knowledge on HCI (Hyper Converged Infrastructure), SDDC, ESX, VCenter and Hyper-V, Linux, Ubuntu servers
• Familiarity with VMWare automation (VRA,VRO)
• Hands-on knowledge in Shell, Perl, Python or PowerShell
• Familiarity with automated security patch and vulnerabilities management.
• Experience in VActive Directory, Domain Controller, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Proxy and Firewall servers
• Qualified in ITIL or similar qualification in Service Management is preferred
