Job summary

PERSOL Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced MSSQL DBA to handle production support, monitoring, maintenance, and on-call duties to ensure database availability and performance.

You will participate in automation, perform root cause analysis, and assist operations with capacity planning and change requests, while applying AlwaysOn expertise across projects.

Qualifications

• 8–14 years of MSSQL 2019/2022/2025 database administration experience.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 rotational shift, including weekends.
• Ability to write complex shell scripts for operational maintenance and automation.
• Experience upgrading and patching database instances with minimal disruption to applications.
• Hands-on experience with AlwaysOn setup.

Job Description

Perform production support administration tasks including proactive monitoring, maintenance and on-call support to ensure availability and performance requirements are met.

Involve in operational automation process that covers monitoring, maintenance and standard changes.

Provide root cause analysis for problems and take action to mitigate future errors.

Support the operations team in capacity planning, volumetric analysis, execution of database change requests.

Serve as a technical expert for project teams throughout the implementation and maintenance of assigned projects.

Monitor and refine processes, procedures, and systems to optimize operational stability and / or integrity and recommends and / or implements improvements.

Job Requirements

Minimum 8- 14 years of experience in MSSQL 2019/2022/2025 DatabaseAdministration.

Participate in the 24/7 rotational shift including weekends.

Demonstrate the ability to write complex shell scripts for operational maintenance and automation.

Experience in upgrade and patching database instances across multiple Database Management Systems with minimum disruption to application.

Hands on experience in troubleshooting on patching issue and raise case with vendor, follow up for fixing.

Hands on experience in AlwaysON setup
