Job summary

KLA is seeking a senior Industrial/Manufacturing engineer in Singapore to lead warehouse automation initiatives end‑to‑end. You will design, implement, and ramp up systems such as ASRS and AGVs/AMRs, while optimizing material flow and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in warehouse automation, industrial engineering, material handling engineering, or operations engineering.
• Knowledge of current warehouse automation technologies (AGV/AMR, ASRS, GtP, WMS/RFID/barcode and packaging systems).
• Experience with ergonomics assessments and implementing safety improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross‑functional teams on warehouse automation initiatives from design to ramp‑up.
• Perform risk and ergonomic assessments to reduce physical strain and hazards.
• Integrate safety into layouts to meet local regulations and standards.
• Conduct data analysis, time studies, process mapping, and simulations.
• Analyze and redesign material flow to reduce lead time and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with teams to implement new or improved systems and processes.
• Redesign crates and external packaging to improve density and ergonomics.
• Work with suppliers to minimize re‑packaging and optimize packaging.
• Drive Lean/continuous improvement and track key performance metrics.
• Develop SOPs, project documentation, and training materials.
