Job summary

VisionPower Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (VSMC) in Singapore seeks an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to analyse and optimise layouts, production flow, and material handling to boost efficiency and maximise space. You will perform capacity analyses, time-and-motion studies, and support cost reduction through process improvements.

The role requires knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, CAD for layouts, MES/ERP familiarity, and strong data skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome or candidates with relevant industrial engineering experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, fab operations, assembly processes, or high-volume manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process improvement, and cost optimisation methodologies.
• Proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, and Power BI.
• Experience with CAD software for factory layout planning and optimisation.
• Familiarity with MES, ERP systems, factory automation, and manufacturing data systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and optimise manufacturing layouts, production flow, and material handling systems to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and maximise space utilisation.
• Conduct capacity analysis, equipment utilisation studies, and workflow assessments to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Perform time and motion studies to improve manpower efficiency, and reduce process waste.
• Develop cost analysis models and support cost reduction initiatives through process optimisation, productivity improvement, and resource planning.
• Support factory layout planning, equipment installation, relocation projects, and production expansion activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities, Quality, Equipment to support process changes and new product introduction (NPI).
• Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance manufacturing performance.
• Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, cycle time, utilisation, productivity, and manufacturing cost.
• Support capital investment projects through capacity evaluation, ROI analysis, and equipment justification.
• Utilise data-driven approaches to identify improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and semiconductor quality standards.
