Job summary

Micron Memory Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Singapore seeks an experienced Layout Engineer to optimize production equipment layouts and improve factory output. You will bridge Manufacturing, Engineering, and Facilities, maintaining layout documentation and supporting tool-installation planning.

You will validate layouts with Facilities and tool owners, contribute to AI-enabled optimization projects, and help plan tool movements while ensuring schedules meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Computer engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint (M365 Apps).
• Strong critical-thinking and data-driven decision-making in layout planning.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in teams or student groups.
• Experience with AI tools and programming is a plus.
• Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Optimize production equipment layouts to improve material flow and footprint efficiency.
• Maintain accurate layout documentation and ramp-plan layouts.
• Validate layout feasibility with Facilities and tool owners onsite.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Facilities to manage layout changes.
• Plan and manage tool movements and AI-assisted workflow enhancements.
