Job summary

ORION SYSTEMS INTEGRATION PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Engineer for industrial automation to design, develop, and maintain machine control software and HMI systems.

The role collaborates with mechanical and electrical engineers to analyze requirements and create documentation, and involves commissioning software at customer sites. The candidate will write and test code, troubleshoot, and provide training and technical documentation while communicating in English and Chinese with regional

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in machine control software and HMI programming, configuration, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong understanding of electrical diagrams.
• Experience with automation machinery.
• Proficiency in Ladder Diagram and Structured Text programming.
• Experience with C# and C++ is a plus.
• Fluent English and Chinese communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain machine control system software applications.
• Oversee machine programming, HMI design, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Engineers for requirements and documentation.
• Implement automation and control for plant modifications per specifications and budgets.
• Write, debug, and test code to meet customer requirements.
• Liaise with customers on control requirements and software commissioning.
• Prepare technical documentation and conduct customer training.
