Job summary

Wise is seeking a highly experienced Product Compliance & Risk professional to own India regulatory requirements and manage compliance risks for new product launches. The role collaborates with APAC and global teams to balance compliance with customer experience, including external engagements and remediation efforts.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in financial services, strong regulatory knowledge, and a proactive, customer-centric mindset. Travel to Wise offices worldwide is expected.

Qualifications

• Expert in regulatory and financial crime compliance and risk management in India, with 10+ years experience in financial services and a deep understanding of regulator expectations.
• Ability to own the end-to-end regulatory controls and translate complex rules into practical requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across product, risk, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and continuously improve products and controls based on regulatory requirements and risk signals.
• Lead regulatory risk quantification and remediation planning with global teams.
• Conduct regulatory gap analyses and define actions to remediate gaps with timely execution.
• Represent Wise in audits and regulatory inspections, explaining controls and remediation progress.
