Job summary

Wise is seeking an experienced AML expert to strengthen AML risk coverage across APAC. You will lead typology assessments, control design and effectiveness, collaborating with regional stakeholders and global teams.

Based in Singapore, you will report to the Group Product Compliance Lead for APAC FinCrime and own APAC AML risk for the first-line PC&R team. You'll translate regulatory guidance into measurable red flags and requirements, work with Product, Analytics and Engineering, and travel as

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years in payments, fintech, banking or related financial services.
• Experience with APAC regulators and external auditors.
• Strong ownership and ability to drive initiatives with minimal oversight.
• Experience in AML/CFT and related domains (KYC, Fraud) is a plus.
• Proficiency with SQL or other analytical tools; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Shape APAC AML risk and control priorities.
• Lead APAC PC&R assessment of ML/TF typologies, controls and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with APAC market PC&R Managers for regional risk view.
• Identify opportunities to introduce or enhance controls with evidence.
• Translate AML risks into clear requirements for Product, Analytics and Engineering.
