Job summary

A&O Shearman is seeking a Practice Manager for the India Group to lead business development and marketing initiatives from our Singapore office. You will collaborate with senior India Group leaders and partners to shape client strategies, plan high-profile events, and drive opportunities across continents while maintaining close ties to the India market.

The role requires 3–6 years in BD and marketing, with Hindi skills preferred, and a track record of working with or in the India market.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in business development and marketing.
• Spoken and written Hindi is desirable.
• Experience in or with the India market preferred; law firm background a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leading lawyers and clients across continents, while staying deeply connected to the India market.
• Work directly with the India Group Co-Chairs and core partners to set and execute the Group’s business development vision.
• Be a senior member of the India Group support team, with a seat at the table for major decisions and initiatives.
• Drive new client opportunities, lead high-profile events, and help shape the firm’s response to regulatory changes in India.
• Engage with stakeholders, lead pro bono and social impact initiatives, and support recruitment and student engagement.
