Job summary

Apple in Singapore invites experienced professionals to join the Worldwide Sales & Operations Support team as Importation Operations Specialist. You will manage daily and peak-event bulk freight importation operations with third-party vendors and ensure compliance across Indonesia and Vietnam.

You will work with Procurement, coordinate regulatory docs, support New Product Introduction cycles, and drive improvements using AI/automation to optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or trade compliance.
• Import operations experience in Indonesia and/or Vietnam.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder management with cross-team collaboration.
• Basic knowledge of SAP or equivalent systems, and data analysis tools (Tableau, Python, SQL) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily and peak-event bulk freight importation operations with third-party vendors.
• Serve as subject-matter expert for bulk freight importation process and compliance in Indonesia (Preferential Tariff, TPP, PI, PSI) and Vietnam (VNTA, Cultural licenses).
• Drive contractual and commercial alignment for third-party vendors, in partnership with the Procurement team.
• Coordinate, maintain, and troubleshoot regulatory documentation and system access for external vendors — including certificates, test reports, product and technical specs, and Power of Attorney (POA) - in partnership with internal Apple stakeholders.
• Drive importation requirements during New Product Introduction (NPI) cycles — identifying process needs and aligning stakeholders on risks and impacts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support authority inquiries, audits, and operational reporting.
• Support projects as a subject matter expert by translating business requirements into system setup, as well as proposing system/process enhancements to improve supply chain efficiency or customer experience. This includes playing a key role in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and advising on these projects.
• Champion a growth mindset by actively applying AI/ML, generative AI, and intelligent automation to importation workflows.

• Serve as subject-matter expert for bulk freight importation process and compliance in Indonesia (Preferential Tariff, TPP, PI, PSI) and Vietnam (VNTA, Cultural licenses).

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or trade compliance.
• Import operations experience in Indonesia and/or Vietnam.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder management skills with the ability to stitch across multiple teams.
• Basic knowledge of SAP or equivalent systems, and experience in data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Python, SQL, etc.) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge in other South-East Asian importation markets advantageous.
• Eager to learn and be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
