Job description

Our client, a well-known company, is looking for candidates for the position of Import & Export Assistant Manager.

Job Description
  • Manage and develop an IMP/EXP team.
  • Import/export arrangements, issue permits, billing, send quotations and cost management.
  • Collection Management for Customer Payments on Our Invoices.
  • Risk management = Recovery plan & action in advance & Report.
  • Liaise with our overseas branches and appointed agent.
  • Build relationships with partner companies.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and NVOCCs.
  • Assist Sales activities. (Visit customers, Telemarketing, Developing new customers)
  • Achieve a GTB amount of SGD$100,000/year for the newly established import/export division. (April 2025 to March 2026.) - GTB amounts have been allocated to each department starting from April 2025. *GTB=Get The new Business
  • Maintain knowledge and oversee the management of licenses such as Zero GST, MES, RACA, and others related to export/import.
  • Maintain ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and biz SAFE STAR documents related to the department.
  • Liaising with customs, IRAS, or other relevant ministries and agencies etc.
  • Reporting to MD, other department, HQ, customer.
  • Deliver performance reports and contribute to strategic planning during monthly meetings.
  • Provide monthly progress updates on performance, strategies, Improvement and activity outcomes.
  • Monthly Improve Plan & action & report ・System Implementation Plan Development, Execution, and Effectiveness Reporting
  • Creating synergies with the Logisteed Group
  • Other duties related to import/export.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of previous experience in freight forwarding
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excels, Words, PowerPoints, etc) and other relevant software.
  • A highly organized and detail-focused professional who can manage processes effectively
