Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an experienced equipment engineer to maintain and support manufacturing tooling in a high‑hazard wafer fab environment. You will lead PM, troubleshooting, and equipment upgrades while ensuring safety, documentation, and compliance.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in engineering and have hands‑on experience with Axcelis GSD/VHE, preventive maintenance, and manufacturing equipment engineering. On‑site role based in Singapore with collaboration across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree required; more than 3 years’ experience on Axcelis GSD/VHE knowledge.
• Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems.
• Profiles with specialization in manufacturing, or relevant working experience or internship in equipment engineering/wafer fab/clean room preferred.
• Exposure or Hands-on skills in PreventiveMaintenance/CorrectiveMaintenance/troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support equipment readiness in capacity of an individual contributor.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of equipment (Implanter hazards – High Voltage, toxic gases, radiation).
• Execute maintenance and tool support ensuring equipment readiness.
• Troubleshoot and upgrade of equipment ensuring minimize downtime.
• Analyze and monitor technical charts.
• Drive equipment improvement plans and projects.
• Ensure and follow good safety practices and custody of tools, equipment and other properties.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
• Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed.
