Job summary

GlobalFoundries invites applications for a Maintenance Engineer to uphold equipment readiness across our semiconductor operations in Singapore. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot tools, analyze charts and drive improvement projects with a focus on safety and cost reduction.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree and at least six years in a semiconductor environment, with exposure to lithography equipment being a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with minimum 6 years’ experience in a semiconductor company.
• Candidates with equipment experience in Photolithography would be an added advantage.
• Specialized knowledge, imaginative thinking and sophisticated analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Execute maintenance and tool support ensuring equipment readiness.
• Troubleshoot and upgrade equipment to minimize downtime.
• Analyze and monitor technical charts.
• Drive equipment improvement plans and projects.
• Act as machine owner for assigned tools, ensuring overall performance, stability, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as Cost Driver to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives, optimize vendor support, improve maintenance strategies, and eliminate recurring failures.
• Serve as 6S Driver to enforce workplace organization, standardization, audit readiness, and sustain a strong 6S culture across the team.
• Ensure and follow good safety practices and custody of tools, equipment, and other properties.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements
• Work and collaborate on projects and/or assignments as needed
