Job summary

Benjamin Maths is seeking a committed Primary/PSLE Mathematics Teacher to join our tuition centre. You will conduct small-group lessons, prepare students for school examinations and PSLE, and help students build confidence in Mathematics.

The role offers full-time or part-time positions with weekday evenings and weekend slots, training and teaching materials provided, and close collaboration with the management and teaching team to ensure lesson quality.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Primary Mathematics and PSLE problem-solving.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
• Familiarity with the Singapore MOE Primary Mathematics syllabus advantageous.
• Able to explain concepts clearly and patiently to students.
• Responsible, punctual, organised and committed to students' progress.
• Able to manage small-group classroom dynamics.
• Good communication with students, parents and colleagues.
• NIE/MOE teaching experience or strong math background welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Primary Mathematics lessons for small groups.
• Teach problem-solving techniques, heuristics, model drawing, exam skills and time-management strategies.
• Prepare students for school assessments, weighted assessments, prelims and PSLE.
• Mark students' work and provide clear feedback on mistakes and areas for improvement.
• Monitor students' progress and identify learning gaps.
• Communicate professionally with parents on students' progress where required.
• Prepare, review or customise worksheets, practice papers and lesson materials where necessary.
• Maintain a positive, structured and disciplined classroom environment.
• Work closely with the centre's management and teaching team to ensure lesson quality.
