Job summary

Focus on the Family Singapore seeks a motivated Research & Programme Strategist to strengthen research grounding, impact measurement, and strategic relevance of programmes and content. You will work with both quantitative and qualitative data and translate insights into actionable recommendations for programmes and content.

The role involves designing evaluation frameworks, reviewing literature on family-related topics, curating content, and supporting events.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Sciences, Research, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant work experience in research, programme evaluation, or applied social research.
• Familiarity with local family life issues and trends.
• Strong English writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct impact measurement for Focus’s core programmes with evaluation frameworks, data collection, and analysis.
• Identify, review, and synthesize academic and applied research on family, marriage, parenting, youth, and social issues to inform strategy.
• Conduct rigorous research to curate journal articles and case studies contributing to content development.
• Analyze research data, social trends, and public sentiment, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
• Support the development and refinement of marriage, parenting, and youth programmes grounded in research.
• Design and conduct qualitative research such as focus groups and interviews to surface constituent perspectives.
• Support Focus events and undertake other projects as directed by the CEO and senior leaders.
