Job summary

OceanX is seeking a Creative Experiential Designer to concept, design, and execute immersive spatial experiences, public installations, and exhibition environments across Singapore and the region. You will join the Public Programs and Events team to craft emotionally engaging environments that support OceanX’s mission.

The ideal candidate brings a strong creative vision, 3D modeling proficiency, and hands-on experience delivering projects from concept through fabrication and installation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Spatial Design or related field; master’s preferred.
• 3+ years in spatial design, scenography, exhibition design, experiential environments, or installation projects.
• Experience delivering immersive environments (pavilions, exhibitions, activations).
• Translate research-based or educational content into experiential concepts.
• Proficient in 3D modeling, rendering, and technical drawings using industry-standard software.
• Experience collaborating with fabricators, production vendors, and AV partners.
• Familiar with materials, fabrication processes, and installation logistics.
• Interest in hardware prototyping for immersive displays.

Responsibilities

• Lead creative direction and spatial storytelling for immersive exhibitions and installations.
• Translate complex scientific research into accessible experiential design concepts.
• Develop narratives, visual language, and material strategies aligned with OceanX’s mission.
• Create concept decks, mood boards, 3D visualizations, and technical drawings.
• Oversee fabrication, on-site installation, and coordination with vendors and partners.
• Collaborate with AV teams to integrate projection, lighting, sound, and interactivity.
• Ensure designs meet accessibility and international safety standards.
