Job summary

The Perse School Singapore is seeking a dynamic Science Teacher to deliver engaging lessons across Years 6–10, with progression to Year 11. The role includes IGCSE preparation, pastoral duties as a Form Tutor, and contribution to science clubs and STEM projects.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in international schools, a relevant education degree and teaching qualifications, and strong Cambridge curriculum expertise, including strategies for EAL learners and technology-enhanced learning.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of teaching experience in an international school.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Education with recognised teaching qualification (PGDE/PGCE/NIE or QTS).
• Strong knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum.
• Experience delivering inquiry-based and concept-driven learning.
• Experience working with EAL learners and supporting language acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a rigorous Cambridge-based Science curriculum for Years 6–10, extending to Year 11.
• Teach Science to students aged 11–16, including IGCSE preparation.
• Serve as Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and supporting student growth.
• Lead and contribute to the school’s extracurricular science-related clubs and projects.
• Use technology and varied teaching strategies to engage diverse learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum continuity and progression.
