Job summary

The Perse School Singapore is seeking a dynamic and adaptable Teacher of Physics to join our expanding Senior School, delivering Cambridge International Curriculum aligned lessons for Years 5–10 and beyond. The role includes form tutor duties, pastoral care, and active participation in science extracurriculars to inspire curiosity and resilience in students aged 10–16.

Ideal candidates will have international school experience, a strong physics background, and a proven ability to lead curriculum

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma) or a valid Teacher Licence / QTS.
Strong knowledge of delivering the science curriculum and inquiry-based learning.
Experience teaching Physics to 10–16 year olds and preparing for IGCSE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver a Physics curriculum aligned with Cambridge International Curriculum and school ethos.
Teach Physics across years 6–10, with potential for other sciences at KS3/KS4.
Prepare students for IGCSE Physics examinations and first exam in May/June 2027.
Serve as Form Tutor and provide pastoral care and personal development guidance.
Lead science clubs, STEM projects, and contribute to extracurricular activities.
