Job summary

National University of Singapore’s SHINE Centre 2.0 in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks a Research Engineer (IC Designer) for a one-year contract. The role emphasizes physical, thermal, and circuit-to-system modeling, design exploration, and prototype circuit work at the forefront of IC research.

The candidate will drive model validation, data-driven design, and system integration, while preparing and presenting findings at international conferences.

Qualifications

• Masters/Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of circuit architectures and transistor-level design.
• Knowledge of silicon chip design and EDA tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Open to fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

• Model physical, thermal and circuit-to-system aspects; design exploration and validation framework.
• Iterate chip and substrate models; generate datasets from simulations and measurements.
• Gather data, evaluate AI model architectures, and implement training/inference for chip design.
• Model end-to-end systems, architectures and integration.
• Model analog frontend circuits and sensors; verify and test.
• Prepare high-quality research papers and present findings at conferences.
• Manage technical milestones for the project.
