Job summary

ONE WORLD INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced IB Diploma Program Coordinator to lead assessment and curriculum alignment across the DP.

• Minimum five (5) years in a senior leadership role in an international school environment.
• Master's degree in Education and a professional teaching qualification (PGDE/PGCE/PGCEi/NIE).
• Strong IBDP knowledge; IGCSE experience preferred.
• Experience in an international school environment preferred.
• Passionate educator with inquiry-based learning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents on subject selection and pathways.
• Ensure IB Diploma Program rules and assessment principles are followed.
• Publish and manage an assessment calendar across the programme.
• Design and lead training opportunities for teachers.
• Monitor progress and counsel students for attainment.
• Ensure adherence to internal and IBO assessment deadlines.
• Promote academic honesty, international mindedness and Learner Profile.
• Collaborate with Heads of Department to oversee student learning experiences.

The Role:

The IB Diploma Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role in meeting all the assessment requirements of the program collaboratively with all DP teachers.

Responsibilities:

• Counsel students and parents on suitable subject selection, including alternative pathways and access arrangements.
• Ensure general rules, regulations and principles of the IB Diploma Program are followed.
• Support students to maintain a balanced work load across the programme by ensuring a published assessment calendar is published and adhered to.
• Design and lead appropriate training opportunities for experienced as well as new teachers.
• Monitor student progress in all subjects and appropriately counsels students for best personal attainment.
• Ensure teachers are fully aware and adhere to assessment requirements and deadlines set internally as well as externally by IBO.
• Develop strategies collaboratively to promote academic honesty, international mindedness and to develop attributes of the Learner Profile in students.
• Liaise with Heads of Department and subject teachers to have an overview of the learning experiences of the students.

Requirements:

• Minimum five (5) years in a senior leadership role in an international school environment, preferably leading the IBDP programme.
• Candidate must at least possess Master's degree in Education and a Professional Degree in Teaching/Teaching qualification certificates (PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma)/Valid Teacher License/QTS.
• Must have strong understanding, knowledge and experience of IBDP. Experience of IGCSE in addition preferred.
• Experience in an international school environment (preferred).
• A passionate educator with the ability to deliver inquiry based learning.
