Job summary

Evonik Methionine SEA Pte. Ltd. seeks a seasoned engineer to drive Smart Operations in a Methionine production environment.

You will apply process engineering expertise to implement digital tools, ensure reliable plant performance and lead cross-functional project work. The role requires 5+ years in chemical production or project engineering, familiarity with ML/ APC, and strong collaboration across R&D, tech, and site management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemical or Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in chemical production or project engineering.
• Familiarity with digital tools (ML, APC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure implementation and reliable operations of digital technologies to optimize production processes on site in coordination with global Smart Operations.
• Provide process and application expertise, combining experience in process engineering, technical applications of Smart Operations with knowledge of plant requirements.
• Initiate and execute studies, projects and new developments, and anticipate and solve problems with a focus on long term technical solutions in Smart Operations.
• Monitor existing Smart Operations applications with dashboards and visualization tools to ensure good performance and high utilization.
• Provide training on, maintenance and continuous improvement of existing Smart Operations applications.
• Close cooperation with production and other departments like R&D, applied technology and site management, defining scope for projects, preparing time schedules, cost estimates and business cases for realization approval, piloting and evaluating new technologies and tools in Smart Operations.
• Manage projects and technical changes according to guidelines.
• Support the execution of MOC and other internal processes related to Smart Operation topics, ensuring FAMI QS requirements in Methionine plant.
• Provide exchange of information and establish relationships with other AN sites and global Smart Operations group.
