Job summary

Ascendion in Singapore is seeking an Infrastructure/System Engineer to maintain a mix of on-premise and cloud technologies. The role supports automation initiatives and contributes to projects powering real-world applications across diverse industries.

The candidate will manage Windows & Linux servers, administer VMware, and ensure uptime through monitoring, backup, and recovery. Cloud migrations and security hardening are key focus areas.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of infrastructure/system engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), and VMware.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Windows & Linux servers (installation, patching, and performance tuning).
• Administer VMware & virtualization platforms for high availability and scalability.
• Perform system monitoring, backup, and recovery to ensure uptime and resilience.
• Collaborate on infrastructure projects (cloud migration, automation, security hardening).
• Support network, storage, and enterprise hardware operations.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management following ITIL standards.
• Work with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments as part of modernization.
