Job summary

GIC is seeking an Associate, Derivative Operations to join our Global Investment Services team. You will support trading activities across OTC and exchange-traded derivatives, ensuring timely trade processing and settlements globally.

You will collaborate with traders, brokers, and service providers to resolve issues, monitor service levels, and uphold governance standards. The role emphasizes system upgrades, automation, and cross-functional engagement to enhance efficiency and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least 2 years of Investment Operations, preferably with exposure to Derivatives.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Resourceful and adaptable, able to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
• A proactive team player who is self-motivated and thrives in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with AI tools or automation technologies will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support Trading Activities for Derivative Asset Classes: ensure timely and accurate processing of trades across OTC and exchange-traded derivatives.
• Service Management: collaborate with counterparties, brokers, and service providers to resolve operational issues and monitor service levels.
• Operational Efficiency and Risk Reduction: identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and governance.
• System Enhancements and AI Integration: participate in system upgrades, automation, and user acceptance testing.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: work with traders, portfolio managers, and cross-functional teams for seamless trade support.
• New Product and Market Implementation: assist in evaluating and onboarding new derivative products and market access.
