Job summary

The Department of Statistics in Singapore is seeking a Data Security Officer to conduct comprehensive data asset analysis, evaluate controls, and assess lifecycle compliance, providing actionable implementation recommendations.

Qualifications

• Experience as lead implementer or auditor for ISO27001 is advantageous.
• Knowledge of data access controls and data lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and risk management.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of enhanced data access controls and virtualization strategies.
• Integrate automated compliance checks within existing workflows.
• Monitor and enhance data protection measures through ongoing assessment.
• Perform regular risk assessments on data assets and access patterns.
• Maintain alignment with IM8 requirements, PSDSRC recommendations, and regulatory frameworks.
• Develop and update data security policies and procedures.
