Job summary

Singapore Polytechnic is seeking a technically-inclined and cybersecurity-minded professional to strengthen our security posture and data governance. You will drive security monitoring, threat modelling, risk management, and data protection initiatives across the organisation.

You will lead incident response, security monitoring, and data governance efforts, collaborating with diverse stakeholders. The role focuses on safeguarding our digital ecosystem and enabling secure adoption of technology

Qualifications

  • Relevant computer science qualifications and related disciplines are required.
  • Certifications in cybersecurity, information security or data governance are preferred (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, CDPSE, CDMP).
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and information security frameworks.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and data privacy regulations (PDPA) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead threat modelling activities (e.g. STRIDE) using MITRE ATT&CK for enterprise systems.
  • Conduct IT security compliance assessments and ensure requirements are implemented.
  • Provide IT security briefings to end-users and administrators; manage security projects.
  • Monitor security incidents, perform post-incident reviews, and drive improvements.
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies, standards, and data lifecycle controls.
