Job summary

Enterprise Singapore is seeking a Data Governance professional to strengthen the organisation's data governance and management capabilities in Singapore. You will shape policies, standards, and processes to ensure data is accurate, secure, and fit for purpose.

You will work with stakeholders to capture data needs, enable reliable reporting, and promote data literacy across the public sector organisation, driving data-enabled decision making.

Qualifications

• A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data governance and management (including data quality, data ownership, data definitions, access controls, and data protection requirements), data security, or related roles.
• Ability to apply data tools and technologies such as Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI in a work setting.
• Exposure to data management, metadata, or data catalogue tools would be an advantage.
• Experience working in the Singapore public sector or large, complex organisations would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data governance policies, standards, and processes to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and trusted.
• Establish and maintain data management practices, including clear data definitions, documentation, and lifecycle processes.
• Drive continuous data quality improvements through effective checks, controls, and issue resolution.
• Strengthen data security and compliance practices, including access controls, data classification, incident management, and adherence to data protection requirements.
• Contribute to the development of data strategies and plans, including data architecture, usage, and analytics.
• Work with stakeholders to identify data needs and sources, and ensure systems and processes support consistent data capture, integration, and reporting.
